The Writing Center

The Department of English at USM offers services for students in need of assistance on any type of writing project. Tutors will even offer assistance on resumes and graduate school applications. Although most tutors are current or former teachers, the writing center offers tutors who function as "second brains" for writers. They question the writer in a way professional writers question themselves. This helps to ensure clarity and purpose in student writing.
